Vintage United Chair Co. Mid-Century Chrome Swivel Office Chair

A vintage mid-century modern swivel office chair manufactured by United Chair Co., Inc. of Leeds, Alabama, featuring a polished chrome frame and rolling base, dark upholstered seat and back, and contrasting wood armrests.

The chair has a clean, architectural profile characteristic of American mid-century contract and office furniture. A broad upholstered back with softly rounded corners is supported between slender chrome uprights, leaving an open section between the backrest and seat that keeps the overall design visually light.

Flat wood armrests introduce warmth and contrast against the polished metal structure. The generously proportioned upholstered seat has a rounded front profile with piped edging, while the separate back provides a simple, streamlined appearance.

Below the seat, an adjustable mechanical assembly connects to a five-star chrome swivel base fitted with casters. The combination of reflective metal, dark upholstery, and wood gives the chair a versatile period appearance suitable for a home office, studio, library, or commercial workspace.
