Vintage Rattan Swivel Rocker Lounge Chair with Floral Cushions

A relaxed vintage rattan swivel-rocker lounge chair featuring a sculptural bent-rattan frame, looping open arms, tufted floral cushions, and a substantial circular pedestal base.

The frame is constructed from smoothly curved lengths of rattan with wrapped bindings reinforcing the intersections. A rounded outer rail follows the perimeter of the back, while overlapping curved elements create open armrests and an airy, organic silhouette.

The pedestal is one of the chair’s strongest design elements. Multiple concentric courses of rattan create a broad, slightly flared circular base beneath the seat while surrounding the swivel-rocker mechanism. The layered construction gives the chair a substantial foundation while continuing the rounded forms found throughout the upper frame.

A generously padded seat cushion is paired with an oversized button-tufted back cushion. Both are upholstered in a light botanical textile incorporating cream, pale green, blush, and darker accent tones.

The combination of natural rattan, curved construction, generous upholstery, and swivel-rocker functionality gives the chair the relaxed character associated with 1970s–80s rattan furnishings.

A great addition to a living room, sunroom, bedroom, reading corner, or coastal, bohemian, tropical, or eclectic interior.
