Vintage Louis XV Revival Armchair with Painted Frame, Tufted Back and Damask Seat

A graceful vintage French Provincial armchair pairing the flowing silhouette of Louis XV-inspired furniture with tonal champagne upholstery.

The exposed painted wood frame is shaped almost entirely through curves. A molded crest surrounds the upholstered back, open arms sweep forward into sculptural supports, and a serpentine seat rail transitions into four slender cabriole legs.

The tall back is deeply button tufted, adding texture and depth to the chair’s otherwise restrained palette. Coordinating damask upholstery covers the generously proportioned seat, while the softly aged painted finish allows the molded details of the frame to remain visible.

The chair works naturally as occasional seating in a living room, bedroom, dressing room, library, or traditional interior, while its sculptural lines can also provide contrast in a more eclectic setting.
