Vintage 1960s American Mid-Century Child’s Dinette Table and Chair Set

This vintage three-piece child’s dinette set brings together one square table and two coordinating chairs in a distinctive yellow, cream, and black crosshatch laminate.

The tabletop presents the pattern across a broad square surface framed by dark trim. Matching laminate appears on the chair seats and rectangular upper back panels, creating a cohesive look across the entire set.

The black metal frames are straightforward and nicely proportioned. The chairs have open backs with vertical rods between the seat and top panel, while the table stands on four simple metal legs.

The set reflects the casual kitchen furniture popular in postwar American interiors, when patterned laminates and metal frames became common in breakfast rooms and dinette spaces. Here, those same materials and proportions were adapted for children’s furniture.
