Antique Quarter-Sawn Oak Sideboard – Early 1900s American Arts & Crafts Buffet

This early 1900s sideboard is a wonderful example of American quarter-sawn oak furniture — a construction method prized for both strength and the striking ray-fleck grain pattern it produces, visible here across the top, drawer fronts, and door panels. Stylistically it draws from the Arts & Crafts movement, with a nod to Edwardian design in its gently curved, shaped front legs. The case features three upper drawers with original brass escutcheons (keys not present), each fitted with a turned wood pull. Below, a two-door cabinet opens to a single shelf, divided by a fixed center oak stile. A full-width drawer spans the base, adding generous additional storage. Construction includes visible dovetail joinery on the drawers, pointing to solid, quality-built furniture typical of the period.
